SUMMER WORK AND TRAVEL PROGRAM:

Departament Stanów Zjednoczonych wprowadził pilotażowy program dla uczestników programu SWT w 6-ciu krajach: Białoruś, Bułgaria, Mołdawia, Rumunia, Rosja i Ukraina.

Restrykcje dotyczą również obywateli tych krajów studiujących i starających się o wizę zagranicą, a więc wszystkich studentów posiadających obywatelstwo w/w państw studiujących w Polsce i starających się o wizę w Warszawie lub Krakowie.

Procedura wizowania tych uczestników programu SWT będzie odbywała się wg następujących zasad:

1. Wszystkie formularze DS2019 dla obywateli w/w państw muszą być przesłane bezpośrednio od organizacji sponsorującej do Sekcji Wiz Nie-imigracyjnych Konsulatu w Warszawie lub w Krakowie (w zależności od miejsca starania się o wizę)

2. Studenci z w/w krajów muszą posiadać potwierdzoną ofertę pracy, pracodawca musi być wyszczególniony na formularzu DS-2019 oraz wprowadzone do systemu SEVIS konkretne miejsce pracy. Studenci z w/w krajów nie mogą korzystać z możliwości wyjazdu bez oferty pracy.

3. Sprawy uczestników programu z w/w krajów nie mogą być składane na podstawie wizy wydanej w zeszłym roku w ramach uproszczonej procedury tzw. ''drop box". Wszystkich należy umawiać na rozmowę z konsulem. Osoby powtarzające program powinny przynieść również dokumenty potwierdzające ich zarobki (kopie formularza W-2) z poprzedniego wyjazdu.

4. Dla studentów w/w państw studiujących na polskich uczelniach, którzy będą kontynuować naukę w Polsce po powrocie dopuszczamy daty ważności formularza DS2019 zgodnie z datami przyjętymi jako wakacje w Polsce (25 Maj - 15 Październik)

Jeżeli jednak po ukończeniu programu wracają oni do swojego kraju daty ważności formularza DS2019 muszą być zgodne z wytycznymi Departamentu dla danego kraju np. dla Ukrainy ; 6 Maj- 6 Wrzesień, Białorusi 15 Maj - 15 Wrzesień.



Kto może wziąć udział w programie?

A bona-fide post secondary student currently enrolled in and actively pursuing a degree or a full time course of study at an academic institution (including morning, evening and weekend students).


Students at post secondary schools including Policealne Studium who have completed at least the first year and will resume activities as a student after participation in SWT program.


Students who are transferring from one school to another, if they have finished an academic program at one school and are going on to another full time program, or if they are continuing on to graduate school.


Post-secondary students in their final year (those who are current students when they applied for participation even if they will have graduated at the time of participation in SWT program) are permitted to participate in SWT programs.


There is no age limit (although there are no formal age restrictions for participants, applicants who are not of normal student age will receive greater scrutiny).


Sufficient English fluency to undertake the proposed program is required.


Program length cannot exceed four (4) months. These 4 months should coincide with the official academic break. Then cannot be exceptions for students who have individual permission to miss classes.


The 2011 SWT program dates for Poland will be May 25- October 15, 2011.


There is no prohibition against students participating in SWT programs more than one time.



Kto nie kwalifikuje się do programu?


High school students accepted for college in the fall.

Vocational schools (for example, cosmetology, hair dressing, detective schools).

Secondary school for adults.


Kto nie musi iść na rozmowę do Ambasady?

According to a new State Department policy, students who previously participated in the SWT program and received their J1 visas in 2010 are eligible to apply for J1 SWT visas in 2011 without appearing in person and providing new finger scan.

SWT agents can submit such applications directly to the Consular Section without scheduling an appointment. However, if the student previously did not receive the William Wilberforce pamphlet (about workers rights and trafficking in persons) in person from a Consular employee, she/he will have to come for an interview. In addition to the required documents, SWT agent should also provide copies of the student's legitymacja and pages of indeks showing their current grades and status. Should everything be in order with their documents, the students will be issued new J1 visas. However the Consular Section reserves the right to call such applicants for an interview if more information is needed.


Foreign Students:


Foreign students studying at Polish post-secondary schools or universities can participate in the SWT program and apply for J1 visas in our consular sections in Warsaw or Krakow. In addition to the aforementioned documentation, they should submit proof of their legal status in Poland (copy of the student's visa or other documentation confirming their legal residence in Poland. Please note there are additional procedures for SWT participants travelling on Belarusian, Bulgarian, Moldovan, Romanian, Russian, and Ukrainian passports.
